CARLA IS A BRIDAL MAKEUP ARTIST WITH OVER 15 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE BASED IN INGATESTONE, ESSEX.

ABOUT ME:

I have always had a passion for creativity ever since I was a child. I’ve spent my whole life observing all the beauty that is around me and learnt to cultivate this into an artistic skill that makes people feel their best. Despite training at the prestigious London College of Fashion, I have never been interested in conforming to techniques and prefer to take a much more holistic approach to my client’s needs. Adapting my skills over the years has left me with a relaxed and calm approach and I feel most at ease with a brush in hand.

My career in makeup has left me with some truly inspirational and unique experiences and I will always be grateful for my time working alongside some of the most talented people in the film, fashion and TV industries. I have had the pleasure of working for well-known personalities who have left me with a wealth of experience in many high pressured environments.

I began my work with private bridal clients in 2010 alongside Tara despite knowing her personally for a lot longer. We have always been great friends and an unstoppable driving force for creating unrivaled bridal hair and makeup within the wedding industry. I feel incredibly lucky to have her as a friend, creative influence and business partner. Our vision for Team Glam was always built around understanding our client’s needs and building a team of highly skilled hair and makeup artists to fulfill those needs.

For me, beauty is about how you feel and not just what you look like. Every woman knows how she feels within when she is happy, confident and radiant. I work with my clients to enhance their natural beauty rather than transform them into a different version of themselves. When it comes to wedding makeup the most important message for my clients to understand is that true beauty comes from within and I want to take the time to get to know them as a person and understand what makes them feel their best.

I am a fully qualified trainer and can accredit CPD hours and makeup courses to other aspiring makeup artists and teachers. I have been one of the UK’s leading airbrush specialists for the past 10 years and have taught HD (high definition) makeup in many European countries. With this in mind, my focus is always on upskilling the team and encouraging them to step outside of their comfort zones and push their creative boundaries.

I absolutely love my job and promise that each and every single one of my clients will be seen, heard and valued as I am always grateful for the opportunity to be part of a truly unique morning with my brides.
